I haven't watched the episode yet--planned to wait for the subs--but I succumbed to the temptation of the screencaps and a quick skim through the fansummary. I was so glad that from the look of the previews that they weren't negating the ending of season one. And then I see this. I...somehow am not upset. I've missed Ciel and Sebastian so damn much, I think the relief is overwhelming the dismay. I mean, the creators did so much in the past 15 months to make us believe that was the ending, I think even they understood the beauty of what they'd created, wanted that ending to have as much impact as any new story they might add. I feel like...this is AU of what we know, and I feel okay accepting that because I was so glad to see Sebastian and Ciel that I started to cry. So that says more than anything else I can put into words.
Series one was one story. This is another. At the moment, that's the way it feels to me. Guess I should actually watch the episode and see, huh?
